Assignment 2A - Bugs List

 

1.      When people use my things without asking me and then don’t put it back.

Why it exists:  This exists because people have ZERO respect for me or my things.

     2.   People with bad breath.

Why it exists: There are a few reasons why it exits. Some people lack oral hygiene or have health condition and do not know or may not have the financial resources to fix the issue.

     3.    People that drive slow in the passing lane on the highway.

Why it exists: While the passing lane is strictly for passing, some people tend to forget to move out the way once they have passed the vehicle that was driving slow.   

     4.  Employees that report incidents or accidents and refuse to seek treatment for Workers Compensation.

Why it exists: People know that to be compensated for missed work, covered treatment, prevent company lawsuits and OSHA issues need to file a Claim? However, they refuse to seek treatment because they think it is an inconvenience, traumatized by medical physicians or just lazy.

      5.  Dirty white sneakers.

 Why it exists: white sneakers become dirty easily. From the time, you walk outside you are prone to dirty your white sneakers. Some people choose not to clean their shoes because they are lazy or just don't care about them being dirty because they are designed to be worn to protect the foot and in most cases, it will get dirty.

      6.  Dishes in the sink

Why it exists: People walk into the kitchen and see the sink sparkling clean and would put their dirty dish into the sink instead of washing it then. This exist because people are too lazy to wash their dish and feel like it is too time consuming to clean up after themselves.

      7.  Chipped Nail Polish

Why it exists: When nail polish gets old it tends to chip easily. Sometimes chipping occurs when the person’s hand is in water often or when they have material rubbing against it often.

      8.  The tag of someone’s shirt is exposed.

Why it exists: Sometimes people put their shirt on without knowing the tag is out and they do not feel it. This may exist also because the shirt was not ironed properly before use.

      9.   Split ends (damaged ends of hair strand)

Why it exists:  split ends are a product of your up keeping of the hair. Excessive heat styling as in Thermal curling and straightening the hair can cause split ends. Excessive heat without a thermal protectant weakens the strand of the hair and causes it to split.

    10.   Only three check-out lanes opened in Walmart when there are 20 lanes with a store filled with people.

Why it exists: Walmart chooses not to fully staff the cashiers to save money and they know that they have the lowest prices. People complain but would rather stand in line and wait.

    11.  When people sit home all day and don’t clean the kitchen

Why it exists: People are just lazy and don’t like to clean.

    12.  When you send an email with specific details about an issue and they still manage to miss the purpose of the email.

Why it exists:    Some people lack attention to detail skills. They only see the big picture but not the small stuff that is the necessary information needed.

     13.  When people say they will improve their behavior and then the next day they don’t even attempt to change.

Why it exists:    People say things just to comfort the person they “care” about. They are selfish and inconsiderate.

     14.  McDonalds runs of Milk shakes.

Why it exists: They aren’t ordering enough supply to last for more than just a week, or there is oversight on important things like milk shake mix. Once the supply is out they can’t get any more until the next shipment.

      15.  Nail Biting

Why it exists:  people tend to bite their nails when they are nervous. It helps them relax.

      16. Eating with your mouth open

Why it exists:  People don’t realize that they are eating with their mouth open until you mention it to them.  It is a bad habit that developed subconsciously.

      17.  Body odor

Why it exists:  Body odor occurs for many reasons. Poor hygiene, diet, religious reasons, and allergies.

      18.  People that don’t want to work but have their hand out to receive.

Why it exists: Some people were never taught the value of independence and some people are just lazy. Some people would rather you sit and watch you work hard for your dollar and ask you for it then going out and learning necessary skills to earn their own.

      19.  Photo enforced red-lights

Why it exists: While the red-light camera is in place to capture the person to violates the rules of the road, it causes issues for people that allows someone else to drive their car that runs the light.  It is not always accurate.

      20.  Toll roads

Why it exists: Toll roads are implemented to recoup the cost of maintenance and road construction.

 

Reflection:
      While it was easy to think of many things that gets under my skin, the issue began when it was time to actually put my thoughts on paper. This was a little challenging for me because it required me to actually dig deep to the root of  "Why" these bugs actually exist.
     This assignment even made me think of ways these issues can be fixed. However, it would involve speaking up and people realizing their issues as well. The crazy thing is, some of the bugs are my issues as well. I bite my nails, have split ends, and often have chipped nail polish on my nails. In fact, I have chipped polish right now. LOL.
