11A- Idea Napkin No.1
1) You. Who you are. What your
talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your
aspirations? Specifically, regarding your business concept, how do you see this
business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
I am Sicilia Campbell, a transferred student
majoring in General Business Studies via Online. I not only have a talent in
Healthy hair, skin and nails, I have a passion for it as well. I am a licensed
Cosmetologist that strives to better the state of my client’s physical features
in a healthy way. My aspirations in life regarding my business concept is to
help those feel good about themselves regardless of their flaws.
2)
What are you offering to
customers? Describe the product or
service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
I am offering a product that will solve customers’ unmet
needs. The product is mini travel size organic moisturizing hand soap that will
benefit consumers. Especially consumers with OCD, Allergies, and sensitive
skin. My product will help make their lives easier because they can carry it
with them wherever they go. It’s just like the mini travel hand sanitizer but
it cleans the dirt and bacteria. At the same time is made from natural ingredients
that is healthy for the skin.
3) Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic
characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do
your customers all have in common?
There are many people that breakout from traditional
soap dispensed in public restrooms because they are allergic because of an
ingredient in the soap. Some prefer not to use the soap because the soap has
harsh ingredients that dries out the skin. Some people just don’t like to touch
the dispenser because they suffer from OCD clean their hands.
4) Why do they care? Your solution is
only valuable insofar as customers believe its valuable to them. Here, explain
why customers will pay you money to use your product or service.
Customers will pay for this product because they
will benefit from it. It is cost effective and it will do more than the
traditional sanitizer, it will clean their hands while moisturizing it. It is
also a convenient solution to their problems.
5) 5) What
are your core competencies? What sets you apart from
everyone else?
Also: What do you have
that nobody else has?
What sets me apart from
everyone else, is that there is not a product out as mine. There is currently
hand sanitizer but not an actual mini travel size hand soap that one can take
with them everywhere they go. I have a brand that is cost effective, safe, and
beneficial to the needs of everyone.
In addition to these five
elements, please spend a paragraph evaluating whether you believe these
elements fit together or whether there are aspects of your business concept
that are weaker / out-of-joint with the others.
I believe that these
elements fit together for the good of my product. There is a market for my
product because there is an unmet need by consumers. There are people that have
allergies that would purchase this hypo-allergenic product as well as people
who like the idea that I use organic ingredients that is safe for use. I feel
like this product will be pleasing and make others just as happy as it makes
me.
I already said this in my elevator pitch comment, but I think you've found a great market. I've seen all natural artisan/specialty soaps for the bathroom, but nothing portable. Mainstream hand sanitizer is filled with all kinds of strong-smelling alcohols and who knows what else, burns when I have cuts on my hand, and apparently doesnt clean as well as I think it does. I would love to be able to have a portable, quality product for my hygiene!!
